The No. 2-ranked Trinity Valley Community College Lady Cardinals improved to 21-1 overall and 13-0 in conference play with a 65-48 win against the Paris Lady Dragons Wednesday.
The win was their 67th straight conference win and 66th straight home win. The Lady Cards' 67 straight conference wins matches the school record from 1993-97.
The Lady Cardinals were led in scoring by Autummn Williams with 19 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Maya Singleton had 15 points, seven rebounds, one assist and two steals, Jazmine Spears had 14 points, nine rebounds and one steal.
Leashja Grant finished with nine points, 14 rebounds and two block and Kamray Mickens had six points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Charisma Matlock rounded out the scoring for TVCC with two points, one rebound, two assists and one steal.
The Lady Cardinals travel to Kilgore Saturday for a 2 p.m. tip off from Masters Gymnasium.
No. 9-TVCC Cardinals beat Paris Junior College
The No. 9-ranked Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals held on to first place in the North Zone of Region XIV with an 86-67 victory over Paris Wednesday at Cardinal Gym.
With the victory, the Cardinals are 21-3 overall and 11-2 in conference play.
TVCC returns to the court Saturday on the road at Kilgore. The Rangers are tied with Navarro for second following an 88-87 overtime win over the Bulldogs Wednesday.
The game is set to tip at 4 p.m.
