The LaPoynor Flyers picked up coach Dean Nuckolls 202nd win of his coaching career with a 68-37 victory over Slocum Tuesday night.
This comes off of a Frankston tournament victory Saturday evening.
LaPoynor jumped out to a 20-4 lead after the first quarter. They extended 38-18 lead at the intermission.
James Jackson led the way with a game-high 16 points, while Colton Clair had 15 points and Jacorey Williams added 10 points.
Eustace falls to West Rusk, 57-40
The Eustace Lady Bulldogs dropped to 3-8 overall and 0-1 in district play with a 57-40 loss to West Rusk Tuesday night.
West Rusk led 27-19 at the intermission and outscored Eustace 15-4 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
Gabi Corder led the way for Eustace with 13 points, while Grace Holcombe and Zoie Bailey had six points each.
Eustace will host Arp Friday at 6 p.m. at E.L. Kirk Gymnasium.
Brownsboro beats Kaufman, 55-33
The Brownsboro Bearettes came off of a fourth place finish at the Great East Texas Shootout with a double-digit victory over Kaufman, 55-33, Tuesday night.
Brownsboro held a 27-14 lead at the intermission.
Amber Walker led the way with a game-high 15 points, while M.J. Alexander added 14 points for the Bearettes.
In the junior varsity contest, Brownsboro won 46-6, while the Brownsboro ninth grade won 40-5.
The Bearettes return to the court Friday night at Henderson.
BHS Bears take care of Palestine, 52-39
The Brownsboro Bears improved to 10-3 overall with a 52-39 victory over the Palestine Wildcats Tuesday night.
Brownsboro held a 26-19 lead at the intermission.
Tamrick Pace led the way with 15 points, Chris Givens added 12 points and Logan Compton pitched in nine points.
Brownsboro will host Bullard Friday at 6 p.m. at Brownsboro High School.
Kemp picks up 69-35 win over Q. Ford
The Kemp Yellowjackets improved to 10-5 overall with a 69-35 victory over Quinlan Ford Tuesday night.
The Yellowjackets jumped out to a 15-4 lead and 44-27 after three quarters of play.
Klayton Kent led the way with a game-high 12 points for Kemp. David Dennis and Tanner Lewis scored 11 points each, David Becerra had nine points, Elijah Gardiner had eight points, Brandon Shipp had seven points, Noah Romero had six points and Kane Johnson added five points.
The Yellowjackets will play in the Kaufman Tournament Dec. 29-30.
