Kara Smith and Rhe’jhi Sherfield received the Athlete of the Year honors at the Athens High School athletic awards ceremony on Monday.

The Hornet faithful was on full display at Athens High School’s auditorium on Monday evening for the school’s annual athletic awards ceremony, honoring the best athletes  and their performances  during the 2018-2019 academic year.

Each of the varsity coaches presented the Hornet awards and MVP honors to their top contributors.
