The Brownsboro Bearette coaching staff wrapped up a week long camp for students age five-years-old through 15-years-old Friday at Brownsboro High School.
The campers were divided into age specific groups with five-year-old through nine-year-olds together and 10-year-old through 15-year-old students together during the week.
They were coached by coach Fred Griffin, Felicia Mosley, Kirk Capo and Karee Parker.
Former Brownsboro Bearettes Tamaria Manning and Lindsey Edwards were also in attendance as coaches.
The students learned basketball fundamentals with drills and individual stations throughout the week.
At the end of the camp, Griffin had the students compete in contest for awards in various events.
Griffin said all of the tournaments were made for the students specific age levels.
On the final day of the camp, the students were given a camp T-shirt and a regulation size women’s basketball.
Griffin said he would like to thank camp sponsors First State Bank of Brownsboro, Tommy Williams Drywall and Brownsboro Independent School District.
The Brownsboro Bears will host a basketball camp Monday-Thursday at the high school.
The camp is for incoming first through ninth graders.
The cost of the camp is $35 or $60 for brothers.
The students will participate from 8 a.m. until noon each day.
The students will receive a camp T-shirt and a basketball.
Coach Brent Smith will provide awards to the campers at the conclusion of the camp.
