By the end of Saturday night the 2019 senior classes of Henderson County high schools will have strolled across their stage and stepped into their future.

The Athens Independent School District seniors will spend their finals moments as high school students starting at 6:30 p.m. at the gym on East College Street. Doors open at 5:15 p.m..

Natalie Harrell is valedictorian and Yuvia Leon salutatorian of the class of more than 200.

School officials remind parents and friends that the gym has seating capacity for up to 2,850 guests and all who attend should allow time to enter through a security checkpoint. No back packs or handbags will be allowed inside the gym. Diaper bags will be allowed for those with babies and toddlers.

Elsewhere around the county, Brownsboro High School commencement is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday at the football field. Lyric Patterson and Caleb Goodson were valedictorian and salutatorian.

Cross Roads graduation is set for 7 p.m, Friday. Danaliegh Stiles was valedictorian and Kloe Townson were the top two graduates. The ceremony will be special events center gym. The gym has housed the Cross Roads ceremony since the 29,000 square food addition opened three years ago.

Eustace seniors graduate on Saturday at the E.L. Kirk gym on the school campus. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the proceedings begin at 10 a.m. The valedictorian is Brooke McAtee and the salutatorian Noah Johnson.

LaPoynor High School also has a recently completed gym to house the ceremony. The event starts at 7 p.m. The valedictorian and salutatorian were Austin Dunn and Alyssa Jackson.

Mabank High School Seniors will travel to Garland on Friday for their commencement event. The graduation starts at 7:30 p.m. Mabank's valedictorian is Juliet Pridgen while Presley Reese took salutatorian honors.

Malakoff High School graduation is also Friday. The proceedings begin at 7 p.m. at Trinity Valley Community College men's gym. Paton Willbanks was valedictorian, while Madelynn Dunklin was salutatorian.

Trinidad officials could not be reached on Thursday. Valedictorian was Haley Ned and salutatorian was Jaylinn Womack.

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy graduation was May 17 at First Baptist Church in Athens. Asley Loftin was valedictorian and Madison Fowler salutatorian.
