The First Annual A Trinity Valley Home Health and Therapy Services Senior Prom was held at the Henderson County Senior Citizens Center with a crowd of enthusiastic seniors numbering well over 200 in attendance.
Elvis was the star of the show as seniors were seen doing the twist-and-shout, reliving their old high school days, dressed from tuxedos to evening gowns and tiaras. All who attended raved about the good time, great food and friendships bonded.
The Prom Queen was beautifully attired in a periwinkle blue formal-beaded gown, and looked absolutely stunning as she held her dozen long-stem red roses royally waving to her crowd of admirers.
The Queen was chosen from a host of all ladies in attendance, and was Joan Cloud, who is 88 years-old. She was born in Stafford, England and moved to the U.S. in 1946 as a GI bride.
Cloud is a retired executive secretary of a financial corporation. She has two daughters, one son-in-law, four granddaughters, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
The Prom King was very dapper and handsome in his attire, dressed to the ultimate definition of suave and debonair with a beautiful glistening smile. The Prom King was a very difficult choice as there were many handsome contenders.
The King, Johnny Harrell, was given his royal jewel-encrusted cane, and waved to the crowd energetically. Johnny Harrell was born in Houston. He is a retired maintenance worker. He has two sons, and loves the outdoors.
Plans are already in the works for next year’s prom, and thanks from owners and associates of A Trinity Valley Home Health and Therapy Services go out to all of the local businesses who helped to make this an extra special occasion for our senior community.
