Dr. Christopher Moran will officially take over as Brownsboro Independent School District Superintendent on July 1. Moran is currently serving as principal at Clear Lake High School in the Clear Creek Independent School District.
Elton Caldwell will be leaving Brownsboro ISD on June 30, after serving as Superintendent for 22 years. Caldwell has been in education for 51 years, and is retiring this year to spend more time with his four grandsons and his wife, Wanda, who is also retired.
“I plan on spending time around the house, gardening and relaxing spending time with family,” Caldwell said.
The district does not appear to want to see Caldwell go, but everyone is very appreciative of the time that he has dedicated to BISD, and wish him the best of luck in his retirement.
Assistant Superintendent Vicki York praised Caldwell.
“He has been an awesome boss, and has done tremendous things for this district. He has improved so many things since he has come here, and you won’t find anywhere a bigger supporter of not just the school, but the community. This is his home now, and he is all about kids and has always been all about kids. He has been a tremendous asset to this district for the 22 years he has been here.”
