Tracey Dewayne Johnson, 29, of Ennis was indicted Wednesday for the a June wreck that killed a man and injured the man’s two children.

Johnson was indicted on one count of murder/intoxication manslaughter and two counts of intoxication assault/injury to a child.

Thirty-three-year-old Billy Eric Thompson died in the wreck, on U.S. Highway 175, after his 1999 Mercury Mystique was struck by Johnson’s Blazer which had swerved into Thompson’s lane.

Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene and his two daughters Hannah, 2, and Courtney, 4, were transported to Dallas Children’s Hospital with incapacitating injuries.

Also, John Edwin Vickers, 73, of Trinidad was indicted Wednesday for promotion of child pornography/possession of child pornography.

The charges are third degree felonies punishable by two to 10 years in prison and a fine not to exceed $10,000.

Vickers was arrested in July in front of Wal-Mart in Gun Barrel City on a charge of theft.

Gun Barrel City Police officers discovered numerous pictures of children with sex organs exposed in Vickers’ possession.

Vickers was accused of leaving the store without paying for the pictures he had edited in the photo shop.
