On Tuesday morning, May 24, the Henderson County Drug Enforcement Unit arrested four individuals in Athens who were found to be in possession of a variety of illegal drugs.

James Keaton Bircher, 30, Charles Kevin Bryant, 31, Tabitha Nicole Tigrett, 21 and Monica Lane Worthy, 28, were all taken into custody on a variety of charges, including possession of methamphetamines, marijuana and other drugs, and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.

Two of the individuals also had outstanding warrants pending against them, which were also executed by law enforcement officers.

Arresting officers on the case were David Faught, Wick Gabbard and Kalon Rollins.  The officers began their investigation after receiving reports of alleged narcotics trafficking, and as well as the location of a person or persons with outstanding arrest warrants.

Classification for the charges in question ranges from a second-degree felony for the manufacture/delivery charge, to a class-A misdemeanor for the possession charges. Punishment for the charges includes jail time and the assessment of fines.

All four subjects were transported to the Henderson County Jail where they were booked, and are waiting arraignment.
