The Chandler Cemetery Association and the Chandler Historical Society will again partner to commemorate Memorial Day on May 27.
Rick Gray, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, will deliver the message at the cemetery ceremony that begins at 9 a.m. Local Boy Scouts will lower the flags to half mast in honor of all service men and women who are interned at the cemetery. Following the service, the Historical Society will host a coffee at the Chandler Museum and Visitor Center. A newly installed World War II display will be open in the Service Room. The depot will be opened to the public for the first time. Because of recent storms, the renovations have not been completed but visitors will get a preview of what is to come.
