The Trinity Valley Community College Cardettes are holding a dance clinic this Saturday Jan. 29. They will start at 11 a.m. in the Student Union Building on the Athens Campus.

The dance clinic is open to girls ages 5-11. They will learn and practice a dance routine until 2 p.m., and they will have the opportunity to perform at half-time of the Men’s basketball game at 4 p.m. that evening.

The cost of the camp is $35, and that will include a T-shirt, snack and one ticket to the basketball game.

The campers will have free admittance to the game. Parents can still register their children by phone or at the Cardette office.

The participant’s name, age, contact phone number, youth T-shirt size and registration payment is all needed. It can be given at the door, as long as the parents call ahead, and make a reservation for the child. You can reach the Cardette office at 903-670-2641.

All proceeds from the dance clinic will help support the Cardette spring show and the 50th anniversary Mediterranean performance tour.

The current Cardette members and alumni will be participating in a cruise during the time period of May 27 through June 5.

They will be performing at a military base in Italy for our troops overseas, and have the opportunity to see the Mediterranean at various stops throughout the cruise.

They will also attend a special 50th anniversary celebration while on the ship.

They are also holding a Dance Day on Saturday Feb. 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. for all high school-age dancers for $25.
