Henderson County Library hosted the Howdy Heroes event July 11 from 10 a.m. to noon at the judicial complex. Local heroes such as the Henderson County Sheriff's office and K-9 unit, USPS, Athens Fire, Classic Cars, Athens ISD, Texas Parks and Wildlife and Athens Tractor, and Martin Marietta all participated.
