The design of Romans chapter two verse one sheds light that Jews are no less guilty of sin than us Gentiles, and that we both need the benefit of the same salvation provided by Christ Jesus. The Apostle Paul had shown that indeed the Jews had the greater light yet did the same things; each would accuse and condemn the other as wicked and abandoned. Haha!  Sound familiar? One is always blaming the other of being inferior or better yet… ‘superior.’

Here’s what the sacred scripture says;

THEREFORE thou art inexcusable, O man, whoever you are that judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. Whoa!  Well that will put us all pretty straight and back into the thought, “narrow’s the gate;”

Just like the Jews back in the day, they would excuse themselves on ground that they possessed the law AND the oracles of God AND of course, being God’s favorite people. We all need a laughable moment yet sober in mind rejecting any damning component.

It’s not that one is inexcusable for judging others but that those of us who do judge will have no excuse for our sins before God. For sure a child of God does not stand in judgment of, nor point a finger in condemnation.  According to the NT the character of the nation back then as today is that they were ”an evil and adulterous

Generation” and wicked according to Matthew 12:39, 45 and to add insult to injury John 8:7 called em a “generation of vipers.”

Mark tags em an adulterous and sinful people in chapter eight verse thirty eight. Oh yeah and one last thing, haughty, hypocritical, and proud in Matthew 23! Generations don’t change much looks like, No doubt it all stands true today…that pretty much brings current events to its sum total; ain’t that anecdotal.

It was then as is now from this sin nature they as well as we need

Be free!

Let’s face it; we all have a ‘sin nature, check out Genesis chapter 3.

We’re all prone to be severe Judges of others, and often, we are remarkably zealous in opposing such offences which we ourselves secretly practice. A prime example is John 8; the Woman caught in adultery…Another will be that of 2nd Samuel chapter 12; truths are

Not to be slighted nor put upon the shelve.  We’ve all heard of Emperors or Kings, those of High office who have enacted severe laws against the very crimes they themselves have constantly committed.

Matthew 7:3, highlights that zeal against sin may be no proof of innocence …standing witness that man is much quicker and acute to judge small offences in others than of larger indignities or crimes in ourselves. Wanna know the truth concerning an unregenerate heart? Jeremiah 17:9, 10
