A Bit Of Background; part 1

Did you know the name ‘Jesus’ means Savior? It was a common name back in the time Christ Jesus walked planet earth; but who knew that He would bring into effect a “new birth” or that there would be the “fall of man” creating what I have heard some even say, “a hell right here on earth?” Anyway, I thank God, along with many of you, for sending His Son Jesus to make expiation so that man could experience redemption. Did you know His title, ‘Christ’ means anointed, consecrated and sacred; to be used exclusively for Him? That name you’d surely think the devil would try to heist…find someone in all his followers bold enough to commit some type a tryst! But try as he may, there is none greater in heaven or in earth; Jesus Christ, that name will forever be exalted and famed.

The prophets from the time of Moses spoke of Him, even held up to view that an imminent person would appear, and belong to the highest order of being; since the name of the Eternal One was then and is now…His! Isaiah 9:6 told us that Jesus name would be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace! Certainly from that Day Jesus, The Christ, became then, as is now a most timely conversation piece! There is no fuss as to Him coming in fulfillment of prophecy but some try to find Him through the abomination of the ‘assumed influence’ of human destiny as to Astrology. The sacred Scriptures reflect that The Word of God, the Bible, is our guide through life according to Psalm 119:105; anything less only perverts and contrives.

It’s just sheer amazement that the God of heaven would step down to the most humiliating station in life here on this earth to be born of a virgin, of the family of David as shown in Isaiah 11:1; His birth in Bethlehem of Judea, according to Micah five, verse two; His mission? To become the glory and salvation of His people, and all mankind, shown to us again from the book of Isaiah, chapter forty nine, verse six; bridging the New Covenant with Luke 2:32. Do you, like me; love to read the stories over and again, even listen to song; knowing that in the beloved we can belong! Ephesians 1:6, “to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved”

To make this happen our Redeemer went through a great ordeal; that He was despised and rejected of His own people, even cut off and would be pierced through for men’s wickedness, crushed for men’s rebellion, and by the stripes that cut into His body, men could then, as now, be healed. Glory be to God for the atoning work of His Son.
