The Henderson County Sheriff's Office reports two men were wounded in a disturbance near Larue on Saturday.
They were taken to a Tyler hospital and listed in stable condition, Sheriff Bottie Hillhouse said in a press release.
The release said a call came to HCSO at about 1:10 a.m., concerning a disturbance at a residence in the 19000 block of Red Oak outside of Larue. Three male subjects and one female subject arrived in front of the residence on Red Oak in two vehicles, two of them bearing firearms.
The release said the men who exited the vehicle began yelling at the occupants of the residence. A male resident came outside onto the porch bearing a firearm and saw the two subjects with firearms. Shots ensued and two of the three males that came to the residence causing the disturbance where shot.
HCSO is being assisted by the Texas Rangers and the Henderson County District Attorney’s Office. This is an ongoing investigation, Hillhouse said.
