The Gun Barrel City Masonic Youth Rainbow Girls attended their annual state conference June 20 to 23 in Waco, where the theme was "Write Your Rainbow Story."

The emblems were books, pens, and inkwells.

The Gun Barrel City Assembly was recognized for participating in Boxtops for Education, donating pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House, and for their many hours of service.

Samantha Ramos participated as Grand Patriotism (the sixth lesson of the Rainbow), earned her proficiency certificates, and was recognized for being a six-year member.

Emily Currey represented Texas as Grand Representative to Alabama and Mississippi in the Cavalcade of Flags Drill and Skit and was recognized as a six-year member.

Tara Trimmins delivered the Welcome at the Grand Cross Luncheon. As a Junior Member of the Grand Executive Committee, she assisted at Registration and helped give the Credentials Report.

She helped Emily carry her flags in the Cavalcade of Flags Drill, was recognized for her nine-year membership, and received her Age Majority as she has attained her 20th birthday.

Not all was work and competitions. The girls were treated to an evening at Hawaiian Falls on Thursday evening and a Game Night on Saturday evening. The Assembly was very excited and proud when these appointments for the coming year were announced: Emily Currey as Grand Representative to Maryland and Vermont and Samantha Ramos as Grand Representative to New York and Pennsylvania.
