The Henderson County Clint W. Murchison Memorial Library will celebrate Harry Potter's birthday at 5:30 p.m.

The Henderson County Clint W. Murchison Memorial Library will host its Vincent Van Gogh art contest for ages eight to 17. For contest information call 903-677-7295.

The library will also host its Tween events at 2 p.m. every Friday for ages eight to 12. Important dates include: Jedi Academy, June 7; Starr Night, June 21; Ego Lab, July 12 and Spice Crafts will be held June 26. Registration is now open.

August 3

Chandler First Assembly of God, Rock Hill Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church - Chandler, St. Boniface Catholic Church, Union Hill Baptist Church, Faith Baptist Church - Brownsboro, and Westlake Baptist Church will host the sixth annual Back-to-School Health Fair at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 at Brownsboro High School. Every child in attendance will receive a backpack full of school supplies, a free haircut (first come, first served), a pair of shoes (and socks), plus dental/vision screenings. Free snacks and drinks will also be served to everyone in attendance. All products and services are absolutely FREE!
