The Henderson County Black History Committee held its seventh annual car show Saturday, June 8. There was fun, food, and door prizes for all who attended. Proceeds benefited the HCBHC Scholarship fund. This organization helps provide scholarships to children of all races in need of financial assistance to continue their education after high school.
The winners were as follows:
'80s Older Trucks--Jack Ray fourth place; Gary McClaskey third place; Vernell Hunter second place; Rev. Joey Baggett holding the winner's certificate Gary & Julin Handin who were not present.
'80s Older Cars--Winner L. W. Kelley; Kimberly Bell second place; Jack Brittan third place; Dennis Bell fourth place; and Rev. Joey Baggett HCBHC President.
'81s Newer Trucks--Sandy Riffenburg second place; Jimmie Douglas third place; Marcus Clark Winner.
'81s Newer Cars--President Baggett with Winner Jim Adams and second place Walt Riffenburg.
Motorcycle--Winners plaque-Sandy Riffenburg.
