The world-renowned Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch in Murchison will be co-hosting its second Texas Animal Sanctuary Experience Saturday, July 20.

Throughout the day, participants will divide into small groups to complete projects for the Ranch facilities, equine, wildlife, and primate teams.

There will be a plant-based lunch served.

The day will end with a tour of the 1,400 acre facility to view resident monkeys, horses, bears, burros, bison, tortoises, tigers and dozens of other species living a peaceful, safe and healthy life.

According to the equine team at the Ranch: “The Explorer Chicks were awesome. We had them help with feeding at Doris Day as well as out in Hattie's Haven. They met and fed many of our special needs horses and helped with some pasture maintenance before doing afternoon feeds again at Doris Day. After feeding they had the chance to groom some of the older horses.”

The wildlife team reported: “Our group got a peek into what it is like working on our team by helping to clean and feed our small animals areas which included the iguana house, avian coop, and tortoise yard. They also assisted in diet preparation and ended by helping with winter clean-up of our Farm Barn where our farm pigs and potbellies live.”
