A 17-year-old girl was killed in a single-vehicle roll-over Wednesday morning on Farm-to-Market Road 3080 near Mabank. Cathy Marie Bryant of Mabank was driving a KIA SUV, lost control and rolled numerous times. Mabank Fire Department, Mabank Police Department and the Department of Public Safety from Canton worked the accident. Bryant was pronounced dead at the scene.

Plane found, divers search for body
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office played a key role Thursday in finding the wreckage of an airplane that went down in Lake Palestine.
Thursday morning, divers were sent to the scene to search for the pilot whose fate was still unknown.
HCSO Chief Dep. Dan Parker said Dep. Jim Langford and Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden Shawn Smith left Athens for the Berryville area at about 1 a.m. to attempt to locate the aircraft.
