ATHENS —
An 0-2-2 start for the Athens Hornets soccer team has Coach Jonathan Ryal looking for his first win of the season.
The Hornets have a chance to get that at the 3rd annual Wildcat Soccer Classic this weekend in Palestine.
On Thursday, Athens takes on the Center Roughriders at 2 p.m.
They return to Wildcat Stadium on Friday with another match against Center at 9 a.m.
AHS will wrap up pool play action in the final game against Corsicana at 5:30 p.m.
Below is a schedule of games Thursday-Saturday.
Thursday
Game 1 — Corsicana vs. Mexia 9 a.m.
Game 2 — Palestine vs. Lancaster 10:30 a.m.
Game 3 — Whitehouse vs. Kaufman 12:30 p.m.
Game 4 — Athens vs. Center 2 p.m.
Game 5 — Whitehouse vs. Kaufman 4 p.m.
Game 6 — Palestine vs. Kaufman 5:30 p.m.
Friday
Game 7 — Athens vs. Center 9 a.m.
Game 8 — Corsicana vs. Mexia 10:30 a.m.
Game 9 — Palestine vs. Whitehouse 12:30 p.m.
Game 10 — Lancaster vs. Kaufman 2 p.m.
