ATHENS —
The National Junior College Athletic Association announced their All-American team and a Trinity Valley Community College Cardinal has made the first-team all defensive list.
Sophomore defensive lineman Quincy Russell was the only Cardinal to make the list after a season in which TVCC finished the season 3-6 overall.
Russell was also named to the first-team All-Southwest Junior College Football team in November.
Other Southwest Junior College award winners were Kilgore College wide receiver Ed'Marques Batties — who was named to the second-team offense. TJC sophomore T.C. Jones received a second-team offensive award
Southwest Junior College Offensive Player of the Year Tyrick Rollison was named to the honorable mention list.
On defense, Kilgore College linebacker Charles Woods was named to the first-team list, while Navarro College defensive back Thomas McDonald was named to the second-team.
