The second session of the Cardinal basketball camp will be held July 29-August 1 at the Trinity Valley Community College Cardinal Gymnasium.
The camp will be from 9-until-noon with emphasis being on shooting and individual player offensive development.
Each session will include competitions, contests and leagues with each camper receiving a camp T-shirt.
The camp will be open to girls and boys ages 6-17.
The costs of the camp will be $60 for each participant or $50 each for applications received before July 22.
The coaching staff will include TVCC coaching staff members as well as Cardinal players.

Area soccer league looking for players
The Athens Indoor Premier League is looking for players this Saturday through the end of the month.
Registration will be held at Super Mercado Del Norte from 10-4 p.m. each Saturday.
The field is located at 701 W. College Street in Athens.
Edgar Carrillo said they are looking for players in U5 through U16 along with Co-Ed and veterans who would like to play.
The cost of the league is $35 per player plus $40 if you have a team to register.

Lady Cards to hold camp on Friday
The Trinity Valley Community College Lady Cardinals are offering girls and boys in grades 6-through-12 a chance to hang out with them for a fundamental skills basketball camp this Friday.
The two-hour event at Cardinal Gym is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Registration opens at 5 p.m.
Parents can also register their kids on the day of the camp.
The cost of the camp is $25 and space is limited.

HCPO golf tourney being held Sept. 6
CANTON — The 9th annual Henderson County Peace Officers golf tournament and fundraiser is Sept. 6 at Twin Lakes Golf Course.
The four-person shotgun start will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration set for 7 a.m.
Entry fee for the event is $60 and teams must be paid by Aug. 23.
Players will have a chance at a $10,000 hole in one prize, a closest to the pin prize, the longest drive prize and a winners prize.
