The Malakoff Tigers once again showed why they are a team to be reckoned with.
Malakoff jumped out to a 21-8 lead in the first half en route to a 28-8 win over the Grand Saline Indians Friday night.
Malakoff raised its record to 2-0 on the year, while the Indians fell to 0-2.
The Tigers are scheduled to travel to Kerens next Friday for the 72nd football meeting between the rival schools.
Jacob Teague threw three touchdown passes for the Tigers — two to Terry Shamlin and one to Marquise Dowell.
Corey Brookins also scored, finding the end zone from eight yards out in the first quarter.
