HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Mabank loses heart breaker to Wills Point, 41-36

WILLS POINT — The Mabank Panthers ran 98 plays against the Wills Point Tigers but fell just short in a 41-36 loss to Wills Point Friday night.

Coach Jared Wingfield's Panthers are now 0-2 on the season.

Quarterback Cody Thompson had a good night at quarterback throwing two touchdowns and rushing for two more scores.

Wingfield said Dalton Reeder had a touchdown catch, Ty Winklevoss had a touchdown catch and Clay Gaddis rushed for a touchdown.

Mabank kicker Pedro Valdez was four-for-four on extra points and Colt Conway had a two-point conversion.
