EASTLAND —
Adam Stallings got the win, Garrett Conley pitched three solid innings of relief and Jesse Taylor homered as the Athens Junior Rangers beat the Hawley Bearcats, 9-2, Thursday at the TTAB Junior League State Tournament.
The Rangers are now 3-0 at the tournament and face Brownwood Friday at 5 p.m. Brownwood is also 3-0.
“The boys are playing hard and with high intensity,” Rangers Coach Allen Stallings said. “It looks like they came down here with a plan.”
