NJCAA WOMEN'S NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: Defending their title

TVCC beats Gulf Coast State, 75-71, on Friday night

SALINA, Kan. — The No. 1 ranked TVCC Lady Cardinals are headed back to the NJCAA Women's national finals after a, 75-71, win over the Gulf Coast State Commodores Friday evening at the Bicentennial Center. 

The Lady Cardinals had a game saving layup attempt deflected by Krystle Henderson with 44 seconds remaining to seal the win for Trinity Valley.

With the win, TVCC is now 35-1 heading into Saturday evening's finale against either Central Arizona or Hutchinson at 7 p.m.
