FRIDAY NIGHT FLASHBACK: Brownsboro falls to Canton 35-25 in district play

BROWNSBORO — The Brownsboro Bears were eliminated from postseason play Friday night with a 35-25 loss to the Canton Eagles at Bears Stadium.

With the loss, coach Jason Hooker's Bears are now 2-7 and 0-4 heading into the regular season finale against district champion Athens Hornets at Bruce Field next Friday night.

Brownsboro had touchdowns from Will Bailey on a 38-yard touchdown reception from Jared Bragdon, and a seven yard touchdown run by Quintus Less in the first half.

In the third quarter, Michail Cartwright scored on a one-yard touchdown and an eight-yard touchdown to round out the Brownsboro scoring against Canton.

Bragdon finished the game 13-of-23 for 133 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Bailey was his top target with 10 receptions for 129 yards and one touchdown.

Cartwright was the leading rusher with 19 carries for 134 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, Braylon Wehrmann and Tristan Moore were the leading tacklers with eight tackles each for the Bears.
