HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: BHS volleyball falls in three to Van

BROWNSBORO — The No. 6-ranked Van Lady Vandals swept Brownsboro in district volleyball action last Friday night.

The Bearettes lost by scores of 25-12, 25-21 and 25-15.

Brownsboro was led by Reagan Allen with six digs, Devin Carver with two digs and eight assists, Meagan Gailey with two kills and one dig, Lexie Houston with three kills, one block and two digs and Brittany Knippers with six kills and 10 digs.

Brownsboro’s Ladae Luqman had one kill and nine digs, Bailey McDonald had five digs, Madi Montgomery had 10 assists, one kill, one block, two digs and two aces and Amber Walker had five kills and one block.

Brownsboro will wrap up it’s season tonight at Mabank.

Malakoff falls to Kemp in five games

MALAKOFF — The Malakoff Lady Tigers dropped to 5-10 in district play with a five-game loss to Kemp Friday night.

The Lady Tigers lost by scores of 20-25, 25-22, 25-19, 16-25 and 10-15.

MHS will wrap up its season tonight against Life Oak Cliff at home.

EHS sweeps Faith Family on Friday

DESOTO — The No. 10-ranked Eustace Lady Dogs wrapped up the District 13-2A title with a 25-5, 25-5, 25-1 win over Faith Family Friday night.

Eustace will travel to Palmer tonight for the regular season finale. Freshman action begins at 5 p.m.

Eustace will play Edgewood in the Region II, bidistrict round next week.
