FRIDAY NIGHT FLASHBACK: Trinidad falls to Milford in district opener, 72-26

TRINIDAD — The Milford Bulldogs sprinted to a 58-26 halftime lead en route to knocking off the Trinidad Trojans, 72-26, in a district six-man opener Friday night at Trojan Field.

Unbeaten Milford (8-0) scored a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter to bring the game to an end via the 45-point mercy rule. Coach Kevin Ray's Trinidad squad dropped to 4-4 overall.

Trinidad churned out 307 yards on the ground, but didn't have enough to keep pace with balanced Milford. The Bulldogs ran for 243 yards and threw for 139. The Trojans had just four yards through the air.

Zach Spencer had a huge game for the Trojans, racking up 298 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries. He also led the Trinidad defense with five-and-a-half tackles.

Kevon Brookins-Dawson registered five tackles for the Trojans and Matt Snider had three and-a-half.

The Trojans turned the ball over once, losing a fumble. Milford was turnover-free.
