The Mabank boys and girls cross country teams have qualified for regionals after a strong showing at Monday’s District 15-3A meet.
The varsity girls placed second and the varsity boys finished third which qualified both teams for the regional meet in two weeks in Arlington.
The junior varsity boys brought home the championship plaque as they won their division in grand fashion.
For the varsity girls, Heather Bayless finished 2nd, Sydnee Pottorf 6th, and Kourtney Holyfield 7th to lead the Lady Panthers. Allie Sandlin ran a strong race finishing 13th and Kelsie Clark and Kristina Flatt finished 17th and 19th, respectively.
In the boys race, Garrett Graham placed 5th, Caleb Massengale 9th and Adam Reeves 13th to lead the Panthers. Cameron Boren ran very well with an 18th-place finish and Brett Butler did well, coming in at 26th.
In the boys JV division, the Panthers had the first five finishers.
Landon Marshall finished 1st, Elliott Jackson 2nd, Parker Johannesen 3rd, Wade White 4th, and David Marler 5th. Also running well were Zach Dillion 10th, Taylor Willeford 12th, and Jeremy Owens 13th.
