COLLEGE SOFTBALL: Lady Cards sweep BPCC for 19th win

BOSSIER, La. — The Trinity Valley Lady Cardinals picked up a big sweep over Bossier Parish Community College in Region XIV conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

The Lady Cardinals improved to 19-14 on the year and 3-3 in Region XIV conference play.

TVCC won Game 1, 4-1, as Chyna Phipps went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI’s.

Teammate Erica Jordan also went 2 for 4 with a two-run home run.

Melissa Billingsley went 2 for 3 in the ball game for the Lady Cardinals.

In game 2 of the double header, the Lady Cardinals won 10-2 in five innings.

Candise Wise went 3 for 4, while Billingsley went 3 for 4 with three stolen bases.

Jazmine Hicks went 1 for 3 in the game with a solo home run.

The Lady Cardinals had a double header Friday against Ranger College.

They will return to Cain Park Monday afternoon in a double header against Angelina College.

The first game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
