The Athens Hornets had an exciting game on Thursday at their season opener against the Westwood Panthers. The team leaders were Gavin Marshall with six points, Chad Head with four points and he was te rebound leader, and Timothy Tanner was the defensive player of the game.
7th grade A Team

The A team for the Athens Hornets scored a win in a close game against the Westwood Panthers. The leading scorers for the Hornets was Nikell Roberts with 7, Rashann Miller with 6, and Cameron Smith with 5.
8th Grade B Team

The Hornets open up the season with a win over Westwood. Ryan Jefferson put in 8 points. Matt Stanley and Josh Garrett both had 6 points.
8th Grade A Team

Westwood 40
Athens opened up the season with a win against Panthers. The Hornets took a 34-20 lead into halftime and never looked back. Anthony Sanders and Chris Jefferson led the way with 16 points each. Nic Fincher added 8 and Raheem Miller put in 6.
