Trinity Valley Community College volleyball coach Tosha Spain has announced tryouts for the first Lady Cardinal squad are scheduled Sunday, Dec. 20, at the Athens High School gym.
Tryouts are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and should conclude at noon.
Participants will be tested in the following areas: height, block touch, passing/digging, blocking, hitting and serving.
To try out, participants will need to bring the following: shoes, knee pads, workout clothes, physical (copy from high school) and signed waiver.
The tryout will give participants an opportunity to showcase their abilities for the TVCC coaching staff and possibly earn a scholarship. Scholarships can be earned by performing well at the tryouts.
The Lady Cardinals will compete in their inaugural season in the fall of 2010.
