Eustace falls to Van, 40-7
EUSTACE — The playoff bound Eustace Bulldogs finished the regular season Friday night at The Boneyard with a 40-7 loss to the Van Vandals.
Eustace (4-6) and Van had already clinched playoff berths heading into Friday night’s 14-3A and regular-season finale.
Eustace — which qualified for the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time since three straight berths from 1985-1987 — will play Farmersville next Friday in the bi-district round of the Class 3A playoffs at Mesquite’s Hanby Stadium.
Van, which heads into the playoffs as the second-place finisher in 14-3A, upped its record to 7-3 on the season.
