CANTON — The Kemp Yellowjackets never got that late season run that put them into the playoffs last season.
Head Coach Greg Anderson’s Yellowjackets finished a disappointing 2009 season Friday night with a 35-14 loss to the Canton Eagles Friday night.
Kemp fell to 2-7 overall and 0-5 in District 14-3A with the loss. The Yellowjackets only played nine games this season due to weather cancelling their annual game against the Mabank Panthers.
Canton, which was knocked from the playoffs with last week’s 47-22 loss to the Van Vandals, finished the season at 6-4 overall and 2-3 in 14-3A.
