As part of the University Interscholastic League’s Centennial Celebration, voting is now open for the the UIL Football, Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, and Six-Man Football All-Century Teams.
Voting for the All Century Volleyball team has concluded. Voting in soccer, track and field, softball and baseball is scheduled to begin later this year or early next year.
The team will recognize some of the best to ever play high school athletics in Texas.
The following area athletes have been nominated in their respective sports:
SIX-MAN FOOTBALL: Damien Jackson, Trinidad; Stacey Womack, Trinidad; Aaron Thornburg, Trinidad
BOYS BASKETBALL: W.W. “Doc” Sumner, Athens
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Annette Warren, Trinidad; Cheryal Williams, LaPoynor
