ATHENS — Water level is 3.48 feet low and stained. Water temp in the upper 40s.
Bobby Spearman at Lake Athens Marina says all fishing has been slow; not many anglers on the water. A few crappie fishermen still reporting limits on shiners soaked around deep brush piles in 18-22 feet of water.
CEDAR CREEK — Water level is 3.90 feet low and stained. Water temp in the upper 40s.
Fishing guide Jason Barber says catfishing has been excellent to 30 pounds on cut shad soaked in 2-6 feet of water. Good numbers in the 2-10 pound range reported.
Crappie fishermen are taking a few limits off brush piles an bridge pilings in 12-25 feet of water. Black bass hanging tight to docks, hitting jigs, Rat-L-Traps and spinnerbaits.
White bass and hybrids are mixed on humps and points in 15-20 feet. Also some fish suspended around balls of shad over deeper water.
PALESTINE — Water level is 1.66 feet low and rising. Water clarity is stained up north, clear down south. Water temp in the upper-40s.
Fishing guide Ricky Vandergriff is reporting some solid bass in the 2-4 pound range using spinnerbaits and jigs around boat docks with brush and on main lake points with Carolina rigs and crank baits.
Crappie fishermen are picking up partial limits at the Highway 155 bridge crossing, holding near bottom in 25 feet of water. Also some fish holding around flooded cedars in deep water near the dam, hitting shiners and jigs.
Catfishermen reporting some quality blue cat and a few flatheads on jugs tipped with live perch and cut bait. Rod and reelers still picking up steady limits on night crawlers. White bass are slow. A few fish hitting fair on main lake points using spoons.
RICHLAND CHAMBERS — RC is 5.08 feet low and fairly clear. Water temp in the upper 40s.
Larry Winters at Midway Landing says most fishing has been tough. A few catfishermen reporting good results in 12-16 feet using cut shad and punch bait over baited holes. Good numbers of blues in the 2 1/2 to 5 pound range reported. The bigger fish are suspended.
Black bass are slow. White bass are fair on spoons in 21-28 feet of water, mainly on points. No limits reported.
FORK — Water level is 4.54 feet low and fairly clear. Water temp in the upper 40s.
Fishing guide Gary Paris says bass fishing has been fair on main lake points and along channel breaks in 4-6 feet of water, mainly on jigs, spinnerbaits, square bills and 'Traps. Also some fish grouped on deep structure, hitting spoons and drop shots.
Crappie fishermen are picking up limits on deep points in 30 feet of water in the vicinity of the dam. Catfish are good around baited holes 18-25 feet of water. Cormorant roosts also holding fish; the bite is best on days with light wind.
NACOGDOCHES — Water level is 2.80 feet low and slightly stained to clear. Water temp in the upper 40s.
Bass fishing has been good to six pounds on square bill cranks, lipless crank baits and Chatterbaits worked around scattered grass and lily pad stubble in 2-5 feet of water. Also some quality fish reported on deep cranks worked slowly around gras in 8-9 feet of water.

TOLEDO BEND — Water level is 3.85 feet low and stained up north. Water temp in the upper 40s. Charlie Shively at Bill's Landing says the river is rolling and things are shaping up nicely for a strong white bass run.
Catfishing has been good. Several flatheads and blues upwards of 50 pounds reported on live and cut perch. Rod and reel traffic is slow.
Shively says the crappie bite has slowed down since the last heavy rain. Bass anglers are reporting good numbers down south using spoons along deep timber lines. Also some fish hitting 'Traps and crank baits around shallow grass down south.
