The Brownsboro Bears season came to an end on Thursday night with a 5-3 loss to the Longview Spring Hill Panthers.
The one game contest was a Region II-3A bi-district playoff battle held at Longview High School.
First year coach Josh Turner’s squad wrapped up the year with a record of 11-16 overall.
Brownsboro scored their runs in the second inning as they sent eight batters to the plate.
The Bears had an RBI single from Tanner Wilson and a two-RBI triple from Cory Dodds to take a 3-0 lead.
Spring Hill scored a run in the top of the third inning as Jake Ferrill scored with two outs to cut the lead to 3-1.
They added three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth for the win.
Ryan Covington led the way for the Bears as he went 2-for-4. Wilson and Dodds each went 1-for-3. Dodds had two RBI, while Wilson had an RBI.
Covington took the loss as he went 5 1/3 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, with three strikeouts and five walks.
