HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Cross Roads falls to Hawkins 54-14

HAWKINS — First year head coach Jim Bradford's Cross Roads Bobcats suffered a 54-14 loss to the Hawkins Hawks Friday night.

The Bobcats were looking to put together a win streak after winning their opener over Dawson, 46-13, last week in the home opener.

Cross Roads (1-1) had touchdowns from Tyler Johnson to Riley Seilheimer and Aaron Arden had a touchdown pass to Dalton McCurley. Seilheimer also had a two-point conversion against Hawkins.

Bradford said the Bobcats had some costly mistakes during the game and had to fill in some spots due to injuries.

“Hawkins is a very good ball club,” Bradford said. “We just made too many mistakes and had to find ways to make adjustments during the game.”
