JUNIOR COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Cardinals take care of Panola Fillies, 75-64

Athens — Octavius Ellis poured in 27 points Wednesday night to lead the Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals to a 75-64 win against Panola College in Region XIV Conference action.

First-year coach Kris Baumann’s squad improved to 17-10 overall and 8-8 in conference with the win.  

Panola is 8-19 and 0-17.

The Cardinals led 42-32 at the half.

Also scoring in double figures for the Cardinals was Tim Allen with 17 points.

TVCC is scheduled to be at home Saturday against Paris. Game time is 4 p.m.
