FRIDAY NIGHT FLASHBACK: Winnsboro in driver's seat after 40-16 win over Eustace

EUSTACE — The Winnsboro Red Raiders took control of District 7-2A Friday night, using a big second half to turn back the Eustace Bulldogs, 40-16.



Winnsboro (4-3) stayed unblemished through three district outings, while Eustace (4-4) fell for the first time in district play, dropping to 3-1.

The Red Raiders ran for 370 yards and passed for 127 more in living up to their preseason billing as the team to beat in the district. Winnsboro led 6-0 after one quarter and was on top 19-10 at the half.

Jalen Seahorn led Eustace's offensive attack, rushing for 116 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Tyler Folsom had a workhorse night, picking up 78 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.

Winnsboro quarterback Luke Tebbetts threw the ball just five times, completing all five.

Winnsboro scored 21 unanswered points to close the game.
