HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Eustace remains undefeated in district volleyball play

EUSTACE — The No. 12 ranked Eustace LadyDogs continued their undefeated run through district play with a four game win over Red Oak Life Tuesday night.

Eustace won by scores of 25-22, 25-20, 19-25 and 25-15.

Caitlyn Culp led the way with 16 kills, three aces and two blocks, while teammate Peyton Dibari had 12 kills, seven aces and two blocks.

Meagan Gunter and Taylor Peebles added four kills each in the match. Peebles also had three blocks.

Eustace travels to Life Oak Cliff Friday night with freshman action set to begin at 4:30 p.m.

Malakoff loses in five to Scurry Rosser

MALAKOFF — The Malakoff Lady Tigers lost in five games to Scurry Rosser Tuesday night.

Scurry Rosser won by scores of 21-25, 20-25, 25-17, 28-26 and 17-15.

Malakoff travels to Faith Family Friday night.

Brownsboro swept by Canton Eaglettes

CANTON — The Brownsboro Bearettes were swept in District 15-3A volleyball action against Canton Tuesday night.

Canton won by scores of 25-19, 25-10 and 25-16.

Leading the way for Brownsboro were Bailey McDonald with five digs, LaDae Luqman with two kills, two blocks and two aces, Amber Walker with four kills and two blocks, Madison Montgomery with a kill and six assists and Lexie Houston with four kills and one block.

Devin Carver had five assists, Reagan had three digs, Brittany Knippers had two kills and five digs and Meagan Gailey had three kills.

In JV action, Brownsboro won by scores of 25-16 and 25-13, while the Canton freshman beat Brownsboro 16-25, 25-21 and 25-16.

Brownsboro travels to Mineola Friday night for district play.

The junior varsity game is set for begin at 4:30 p.m.
