HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Eustace continues win streak with 24-7 win over Rice

EUSTACE —

The Eustace Bulldogs gave coach Heath Ragle his second win of the young season with a 24-7 win over the Rice Bulldogs at the Boneyard.

Eustace had two players rush for over 100 yards as Lance Rogers and Jesus Barcenas rushed for 146 and 104 yards respectively in the win. Clay Carson also had a big night for Eustace with 13 carries for 92 yards.

Eustace will head back on the road next week to face the Rusk Eagles in a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

Rice then capitalized on a three play drive as Chris Atchley tied the game at 7-7 with a 45-yard scamper through the heart of the Eustace defense with 10:02 remaining in the first half.

In the second half, EHS was able to contain the Rice offense and outscored them 17-0 as Clay Carson and Rogers scored touchdowns.
