CR girls topple Oakwood

CROSS ROADS — The Cross Roads Lady Bobcats had an easy time Tuesday night in a 25-7, 25-15, 25-20 non-district volleyball win over Oakwood.

The win boosted the Lady Bobcats’ season record to 9-11.

Cross Roads is scheduled to play at home today at 4:30 p.m. against Scurry-Rosser. There will be no junior varsity contest.

Kinlie Johnson had 22 assists and 10 service points to pace Cross Roads past Oakwood.

Anna Cross contributed seven kills and scored 12 service points.

Jennifer Hearne had 14 service points, four kills and two blocks.

Kenzi Arnold added eight kills to the Cross Roads performance and Courtney Forester had six.

In the JV contest, Cross Roads won in covincing fashion, sweeping Oakwood in two games, 25-15, 25-18.
