FRIDAY NIGHT FLASHBACK: Kerens beats Cross Roads, 55-26

KERENS — In a battle of Bobcats, Kerens overcame a two-touchdown deficit at the half to pull away from Cross Roads, 55-26. Dontarius Bryant’s 15-yard run with 2:38 left in third put Kerens ahead for good, 28-26.

Bryant had three touchdowns in succession, two from 15 and the last from 55 to put Kerens up, 41-26. Nate Betts had a pair of touchdown runs and threw for another, to Shelton Sayles in the first quarter, after Cross Roads had taken a 14-0 lead.

Trey Hazelip had a pair of touchdown receptions for Cross Roads. Aaron Arden also had a 1-yard touchdown run.

Kerens evened its record at 4-4 overall, and moved to 2-1 in District 6-1A DI. Cross Roads fell to 2-6,
