FRIDAY NIGHT FLASHBACK: Brownsboro falls just short with 35-28 loss to Mineola

MINEOLA — The Brownsboro Bears are now 2-5 and 0-2 in District 15-3A play following a 35-28 loss to the Mineola Yellowjackets Friday night.

The Bears held a 28-14 lead at the half but gave up 21 unanswered points in the second half.

Brownsboro had touchdown runs in the first half from Jared Bragdon from two yards out and a 24 yard run by Quintus Lee in the second quarter.

Bragdon also had touchdown strikes to DeAndre Cook on a 71-yard pass with 4:22 remaining in the first quarter. He also threw a 10-yard touchdown strike to Will Bailey with no time remaining in the second quarter.

Bragdon finished the game 17-of-26 for 274 yards and two touchdowns. He also had one interception for the Bears.

Cook led the team in receiving with four catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, the Bears were led by Bailey with 12 tackles.
