AHS POWERLIFTING: AHS powerlifting finishes third at Brownsboro meet

Athens — The Athens High School boys powerlifting team competed in the Brownsboro Meet last Saturday.

The Hornets brought home third place with 23 total points.

Individual lifters were: Jose Rodriguez won first place in the 123-pound weight class with a total of 880 pounds.

Ricardo Rodriguez lifted a total of 690 pounds, Osbaldo Juarez lifted a total of 670 pounds, Ladairus Jordan lifted a total of 865 pounds and Alberto Martinez lifted a total of 990 pounds.

Barrett Senyckyj lifted a total of 930 pounds, Tyler Trussell had a total of 1,050 pounds and Brian Guiterrez lifted a total of 1,130 pounds.

Chad Walker lifted a total of 825 pounds, John Arrellano finished in third place with a total of 1,330 pounds and Paul Prox lifted a total of 1,105 pounds.

The Hornets will compete in the Westwood meet on Friday.
