The annual Play 4 Kay game to raise awareness and money to help fight the battle against cancer is scheduled for Jan. 30 when the TVCC Lady Cardinals take on Paris in a 5:30 p.m. game.
The Lady Cardinals are scheduled to make a public appearance to promote the event this Friday from 4-6 p.m. at McDonald’s in Athens.
The Lady Cardinals will have pink t-shirts and other pink items for purchase. They will also have sharpies and will be available to sign any item fans would like signed.
Join the Lady Cardinals for this event Friday and then make plans to be at Cardinal Gym next Wednesday when the Lady Cards participate in the national Play 4 Kay campaign for a sixth consecutive year.

MHS Lady Panthers beat Center 8-0
ATHENS — The Mabank Lady Panthers beat the Center Lady Riders 8-0 Tuesday night in Athens.
Savannah Henderson scored six goals for the Lady Panthers, while teammates Lauren Flowers and Jordan Story had one goal each.
The JV team beat Center by a score of 7-0.
Taylor Isom scored three goals for the Lady Panthers, while Shelby Hailey, Payton Costow, Tyler Scott, and Alexis Droke score one goal each for Mabank.
Youth soccer signups start this weekend
Youth soccer signups begin this weekend and last through Feb. 17 at Hibbett Sports.
Registration is set for Saturday's from 10-4 p.m. and Sunday's from Noon to 4 p.m.
The cost is $65 for new players and $55 for returning players.
