TVCC beats Jacksonville, 86-76

JACKSONVILLE — The Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals claimed an 86-76 win over the Jacksonville College Jaguars on Saturday.

With the win, head coach Kris Baumann’s Cardinals improved to 11-4 on the season and 2-2 in Region XIV Conference. It was the final game for the Cardinals, who will now go on break until January 5 at home against Lee College in a 4 p.m. tip.

Saturday’s game marked the Cardinals’ biggest conference win to date, at least in terms of margin of victory. Before the 10-point win over Jacksonville, the Cardinals were involved in three conference games decided by two points.

The Cardinals finished 2-1 in the month of December, with their only loss coming at home to Angelina College, 62-60, on December 5.

TVCC travels to Blinn on January 9.
